No Martini, No Americano
Can a historic drink like the Americano change its mix?
Yes, with Martini Riserva.
To create awareness about Martini Riserva, a new vermouth dedicated to bartenders, we put one of the most historic cocktails in the world at the center: the Americano.
We have created a tailor-made experience in 3 phases for the best Italian bartenders, to let them taste and learn about the whole world of Martini, and reinterpret the Americano drink with Riserva.
THE 3 PHASES
-
We have created a limited edition box to send to 10 selected Italian bartenders. The kit contained the two new Martini Riserva and all the tools to create a perfect Americano. But not only that: there was also an invitation to a secret and special event that they had no idea about...
-
We have created a unique experience right in Martini's historic headquarters, Casa Pessione: an escape room dedicated to bartenders, themed around Martini Riserva and Americano. he bartenders were divided into two teams, and had to work as a team, passing different tests, to arrive at the final result. They had to explore and reconstruct the history of the brand, taste and guess ingredients, smell herbs and spices... An experience that involved all their 5 senses, and which culminated with an edutainment meeting with Ivano Tonutti and Beppe Musso, respectively, master herbalist and master blender of Martini.
-
In the third and final phase, we aimed to directly involve the entire community of bartenders with a social media challenge: #MyAmericanoInDue. This time the 10 mixologists from the previous phases were the judges of the competition, and the challenge given to the bartenders was to join forces to create a perfect Americano. The competitors had to prepare the recipe in pairs, but each had only one hand available. The couples who stood out for their creativity in execution and perfect serve were awarded a masterclass and an exclusive experience at Casa Martini.
